A Salesforce Admin & Developer is responsible for managing, customizing, and optimizing Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platforms to meet business requirements. This dual role combines administrative responsibilities, such as user management and configuration, with technical development tasks, such as building custom applications and automation.

The Salesforce Administrator focuses on maintaining system efficiency, managing data, creating reports and dashboards, handling user permissions, and implementing declarative tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Validation Rules to enhance business processes.

The Salesforce Developer focuses on building customized solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations with third-party applications or APIs. They ensure the platform supports complex business needs, improve system performance, and maintain data integrity.

Together, the Admin and Developer ensure the Salesforce environment operates seamlessly, supports company objectives, and delivers a high-quality experience for users and stakeholders.


Key Skills Required:

Administrative Skills:

  • User and profile management

  • Data management (import/export, deduplication, validation)

  • Creation of reports, dashboards, and workflows

  • Process automation using Flow, Process Builder, and Approval Processes

  • Security and access control (roles, sharing rules, permission sets)

  • Sandbox management and change set deployment

  • Basic understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud

Development Skills:

  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • API integration (REST/SOAP) and data modeling

  • Hands-on experience with SOQL and SOSL queries

  • Understanding of MVC architecture and Salesforce platform limits

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Salesforce CLI, Git, Copado)

  • Experience in custom application development within Salesforce

  • Familiarity with AppExchange products and third-party integrations

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
