A Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that helps audiences understand complex products, systems, or processes. This includes transforming technical information into readable content for both technical and non-technical users.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality documentation such as user manuals, installation guides, knowledge-base articles, SOPs, API documentation, FAQs, and product specifications.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, developers, and product managers to gather information.

• Explain complex concepts in simple, structured, and easy-to-understand language.

• Edit, proofread, and update existing documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.

• Ensure documentation aligns with brand tone, industry standards, and project guidelines.

• Create diagrams, flowcharts, and visuals to support written content (if required).

• Organize content for different formats—web, PDF, software help files, and training modules.

🔹 Required Skills

• Excellent command over written communication and grammar.

• Strong research and analytical abilities.

• Ability to simplify complex technical content.

• Familiarity with technical tools such as:

  • MS Office, Google Docs

  • Confluence, Jira, Notion

  • MadCap Flare, RoboHelp

  • Markdown / Git (optional)

• Understanding of IT products, APIs, software systems, or engineering concepts depending on the industry.

• Basic knowledge of UI/UX, software development lifecycle, or product development is a plus.
