A Network & System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing an organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, hardware, software, and user access to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient system operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and operating systems

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls

• Perform regular backups, updates, and system maintenance

• Troubleshoot network and system issues and minimize downtime

• Implement security policies, firewalls, and antivirus solutions

• Document system configurations and operational procedures

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)

• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments

• Understanding of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)

• Problem-solving and incident management skills

• Knowledge of system security and compliance best practices
