A Software QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet the required quality standards before deployment. This role involves identifying bugs, verifying functionality, and ensuring that the final product is reliable, user-friendly, and performs efficiently across different platforms and conditions. QA Engineers work closely with developers, product managers, and business teams to test software through manual and automated processes and ensure it aligns with the defined requirements.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Review software requirements, specifications, and technical documentation

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts

• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software stability and performance

• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

• Conduct regression testing after fixes and updates

• Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues efficiently

• Perform functional, non-functional, UI/UX, and performance testing

• Ensure software security, scalability, and compatibility across different devices and browsers

• Provide detailed testing reports and quality metrics

• Participate in design and requirement discussions to prevent defects early

🔧 Required Skills

🎓 Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field

• QA certifications are beneficial (but optional):

  • ISTQB Certification

  • Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
