The Network & System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting an organization’s computer networks and systems. This role ensures optimal network performance, security, and reliability by managing servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components. The administrator also provides technical support, performs regular system updates, monitors network performance, and implements backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, servers, and related hardware.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control within the network environment.

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve outages promptly.

• Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection tools.

• Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches to ensure system integrity.

• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.

• Support server virtualization and cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).

• Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and incident reports.

• Collaborate with vendors and other IT teams for system upgrades and network expansion.

• Provide technical support and training to staff when required.
