A Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that explains complex technical concepts in a simple and structured manner. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and end users by producing documentation that supports product adoption, usability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation such as user guides, manuals, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and release notes.

• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA, and support teams to gather technical details and validate accuracy.

• Develop API documentation, system architecture documents, and process workflows where required.

• Ensure documentation is consistent with brand, style guidelines, and industry standards.

• Review and update existing documentation based on product changes and user feedback.

• Manage documentation versions and ensure timely updates with each product release.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience with documentation tools and content management systems.

• Basic understanding of software development, APIs, and technical workflows.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience in writing for software products, SaaS platforms, or IT services.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Experience with UX writing or instructional design.

• Knowledge of markup languages such as Markdown, HTML, or XML.
