A Network & System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting an organization’s computer networks, servers, and IT infrastructure. The role includes monitoring system performance, ensuring network security, resolving hardware and software issues, managing backups, and providing technical support to internal users.
They ensure that all IT systems operate efficiently, securely, and reliably to support business operations.

Required Skills

1. Technical Skills

• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN)

• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS server environments

• Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and network equipment

• System installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Network security, monitoring, and access control

• Experience with VMware / Hyper-V virtualization

• Backup and disaster recovery management

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, Office 365, Email servers

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Wireshark)

• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python – optional but beneficial)
