In this exclusive Founder Spotlight interview with Fixnhour, Akshay Pratap Singh talks about his entrepreneurial journey, his vision for how AI-powered businesses can help drive innovation and his thoughts on how automation is emerging as one of the greatest competitive advantages in the digital economy.

1. Akshay, before we discuss UpCodo and Digimonk, tell us about yourself. What inspired your entrepreneurial journey?

I have always been fascinated with technology because of the fact that it is able to solve real world problems. At the start of my career, I loved creating software, but I quickly learned that companies didn't just want a software developer, they wanted someone who grasped their problems. That's when my whole worldview shifted. Rather than programming code, I started to understand business objectives, customers expectations and future development. This attitude eventually resulted in the development of UpCodo and Digimonk, an organization that aims to empower businesses to build, automate and scale with technology.

2. What inspired you to establish UpCodo and Digimonk?

At some point, every business starts to face a constraint in their growth with manual operations. There is a lot of good ideas but there is a lack of technology strategy to execute the ideas efficiently in many organizations. To fill that void, we created UpCodo and Digimonk. We have always aimed to bring software development, AI-automation, and digital transformation together and provide practical solutions for businesses to grow faster while operating less complexly. Technology isn't supposed to be a problem, it's supposed to be a solution.

3. You've delivered more than 150 digital projects. What have been the biggest lessons from working with startups and enterprises?

There is one lesson that is always prominent. The key to the success of technology projects is to start with business understanding. The majority of companies talk about software in terms of features first. We start with different questions. What is the issue we are addressing? How will this enhance business performance? What is the value to the users? This will naturally be followed by technology once those answers are understood. The best products are created based on business results instead of technical specs.

4. AI Automation is becoming a major trend. How do you see it changing businesses?

AI is revolutionizing the way that organizations work. Businesses don't need technology just to take the place of paper-based processes. They require intelligent systems that can automate repetitive tasks, make better decisions, deliver a better customer experience, and increase efficiency in operations. AI allows teams to save time on manual work and invest more in strategic activities. Those businesses that are able to successfully embed AI into their operations today will be at competitive advantage in the next few years. The use of automation is no longer an option but a need.

5. What differentiates UpCodo from other software development companies?

We take a business-first, technology-second approach. We don't simply develop applications. We create solutions based on long-term goals of the business. From SaaS applications to mobile apps, AI automation systems to enterprise software, we prioritize scalability, usability, and impactful business outcomes. We know that good software will keep giving a return on investment after it's released. We need to apply that attitude in all projects we do.

6. What advice would you give startups building their first digital product?

Start with the problem—not the product. When starting up, many companies fall for the trap of developing a feature set before determining what needs are being met by their product. Prioritize developing the minimum viable product (MVP) which addresses one noteworthy problem very well. Launch quickly. Gather feedback. Improve continuously. Technology is always advancing, but it is customer feedback that is one of the most valuable sources of innovation. You create success products by doing and redoing and redoing.

7. How do you build strong technology teams?

Great teams have some characteristics that remain timeless, while technology evolves. Curiosity. Ownership. Collaboration. Continuous learning. Engineers are encouraged to think beyond development and know the business environment of each project. If developers have knowledge of the developer's objectives, they will create better solutions. Good teams are built by enabling individuals to address problems, not just do things.

8. What role will AI play in software development over the next decade?

AI is set to revolutionize software development. This will save developers time and allow them to focus on more complex business problems. Applications will get more advanced, individual and self-sufficient. Yet the human element of creativity, architecture and strategic thinking will stay vital, however. AI will be a strong engineering ally, not a substitute for innovation. The future is for teams that are able to do both, human expertise and intelligent automation.

9. What leadership principles have guided your entrepreneurial journey?

Responsibility is the first step towards leadership. As leaders, we need to build a setting for teams to develop and provide high-value to our customers. The one thing I have learned is to be consistent. Starting successful companies isn't about the occasional break through. It's about going the extra mile, growing the workforce, and thinking long-term. Once companies are committed to delivering real value, success follows.

10. How important is founder branding in today's technology industry?

Companies are becoming more interested in knowing about the companies they do business with. Experiences, insights and lessons can be shared which helps to gain credibility and form meaningful relationships. As a platform, Fixnhour offers a chance for founders to share their knowledge and attract businesses looking for reliable tech partners. Trust starts with transparency. Having them present makes that trust stronger.

11. What is your long-term vision for UpCodo and Digimonk?

Our aim is to be trusted global partners of businesses leading the way on AI and digital transformation. We're passionate about helping organizations create software that isn't just used for operations, it's used to propel growth. With automation and Artificial Intelligence being the pivot of all industry, we will continue to develop intelligent solutions that will make business easier, more productive and allow sustainable competitive advantages. Businesses that continuously innovate are the ones that will have the future and we want to be part of it.

Final Message to Entrepreneurs

Successful businesses don't come from technology. Vision does. Execution does. Customer understanding does. Stay curious. Keep learning. Embrace change. Automate when it truly makes a difference. Above all, develop technology that addresses business issues, not fads. Innovation for a reason leads to sustainable growth. The making of really great businesses begins there.
