Q1. Mr. Gehlot, all successful entrepreneurs have a purpose to start. Why did you start the business of Prem Green Private Limited?

All enterprises start by defining a problem that needs solving. The motivation was my awareness of the increasing demand for sustainability solutions in industries. For businesses today, the idea of short-term profits is no longer enough, but also the long-term effects they generate on society and the environment. Prem Green's core mission is to develop solutions that enable sustainable growth, foster innovation and efficiency. Entrepreneurship is about addressing real-world problems and sustainability is one of the major issues of our times.

Q2. What would you define the term "green" as?

We often think of "green" when we think of protecting the environment. To me it symbolizes thinking responsibly. It involves choices that will positively impact businesses, communities and future generations at the same time. Green is all about waste minimisation, efficiency, better technology and the development of systems that provide value and benefit for a long time. It is not a trend. It is a mindset.

Q3. What are the business challenges in implementing sustainabilities?

Changing mindset is one of the major challenges. Typically, sustainability is perceived as an extra investment rather than a long-term investment. Yet, companies that are sustainable can become more efficient, build better customer confidence and become more competitive. There's a lot of importance for education and awareness. Once organizations realize the long term gains, they are more willing to do so.

Q4. What are some of the fundamental leadership rules you've learned on your entrepreneurial journey?

The first step of leadership is taking responsibility. During uncertainty, a leader has to make things clear and during difficulties, establish confidence. I think consistency trumps short-term hops for success, too. It has been in the field of business that having a sense of discipline, making decisions ethically and learning continuously creates business growth. If your team believes in you and your vision, they can become partners in creating something with meaning.

Q5. Innovation and sustainability are more often than not intrinsically linked. What are your methods of keeping that balance?

When innovating, it doesn't matter if it's for fun or for profit, it must solve real problems. Continuous assessment of new technology, better processes and better systems to provide increased efficiency with elimination of unnecessary waste. The value of innovation is limited when it is not intended for a purpose. Innovation improves lives, it makes businesses stronger and it has a positive impact on society. This is always our guiding principle when making decisions.

Q6. What is your greatest success as an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurship teaches patience. It doesn't come easily. It is not easy, it is not without challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. All challenges are chances for growth. There is one thing I have learned that is as valuable as speed and that is resilience. Those that move forward with learning and adaptation, will persevere and prosper.

Q7. What do you do to ensure that your teams are strong?

People build businesses. Motivated people make extraordinary organizations, as technology, infrastructure and processes play an important role. I foster an open dialogue, a spirit of learning and mutual responsibility. If staff are aware of the bigger picture, they work outside of their allocated job function.A positive culture always produces positive outcome.

Q8. How will sustainability fit into the future of business?

I think sustainability will move into the business mainstream and not the competitive edge. People are starting to be more aware. Governments are putting in place more stringent environmental policies. More investors are considering ESG principles when assessing companies. Businesses who make sustainability a part of their business today will be ready for the future. Responsible creation of value is the future of business.

Q9. What are your thoughts on starting a business?

Start with purpose. Solve real problems rather than fad problems. Be patient when you are in tough times as all successful businessmen have tough times. Never stop learning. Most of all, conduct yourself with integrity in your business. Trust is a thing that cannot be built in a few years but can be lost in a few moments.

Q10. Trust is important in today's business environment, how important?

Trust is one of the best competitive strengths. Consumers like to deal with companies they can trust. Staff stick with companies where they have trust. Partners work with companies that are transparent and have integrity. Trust is a key ingredient in business growth, and technology is the catalyst.

Q11. How does platform such as Fixnhour help businesses grow?

But businesses today require more than just visibility. They need credibility. Platforms such as Fixnhour allow businesses to highlight their knowledge, leadership, successes and business story. Customers can feel more at ease when knowing who is behind a business. The transparency of founders, the validation of company profiles, and the authenticity of company stories enhance the overall ecosystem.

Q12. What would you like to see Prem Green Private Limited become in the future?

We see ourselves as a trusted brand for sustainable business solutions and an organisation that adds value for our customers, partners and society in the long-term. We are committed to innovation, responsible growth and to a more sustainable future. For us, success is being able to grow the business and make a good impact.
