The Senior Web Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of high-performance web applications and websites. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders.

The Senior Web Developer plays a key role in architectural decisions, code quality, scalability, security, and performance, ensuring web solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications

• Lead technical architecture and development decisions

• Review code and enforce best practices, standards, and quality guidelines

• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders

• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide long-term solutions

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

• Manage deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript

• Advanced experience with modern frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, Vue)

• Backend development experience (Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, or .NET)

• RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and integration

• Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

• Version control systems (Git)

• Web security best practices (OWASP, authentication, authorization)

• Performance optimization and debugging techniques

Architecture & DevOps Skills

• Application architecture and system design

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies

• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes – preferred)

• Monitoring and logging tools

• Experience with microservices architecture
