A Technical Writer is responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that explains complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences. They work closely with engineers, developers, product managers, and support teams to produce manuals, user guides, API documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles. Their goal is to make products easier to understand, use, and maintain.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation for products and systems

• Translate complex technical information into clear, simple language

• Develop user manuals, installation guides, API docs, and release notes

• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to gather accurate information

• Review and edit documentation for clarity, accuracy, and consistency

• Maintain documentation standards and style guides

• Update documentation based on product changes and feedback

• Manage documentation versions and publishing workflows

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Ability to understand technical concepts quickly

• Experience with documentation tools (Markdown, MS Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare)

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

• Basic understanding of software development and APIs

• Ability to structure information logically
